For British expats, finding the best IPTV Netherlands for UK expats usually starts with one disappointment: Dutch TV offers BBC dramas with Dutch subtitles, yet no live BBC One, ITV or Sky like you had at home. We compared three IPTV services for UK viewers living in the Netherlands, using prices checked on October 29, 2026.
Quick answer: QueenIPTV is the strongest fit for most British homes in the Netherlands: it publishes 1,765 UK channels and 90 Dutch channels, starts at £11.99 a month (£3.33 a month over 24 months) and lets you try it for 36 hours with no credit card. KenoaTV is the dollar-priced sister service with 1,365 UK channels, and Televo is a UK-focused option backed by a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Editorial disclosure
This comparison was prepared with input from QueenIPTV, which sells IPTV subscriptions, and we may have a commercial relationship with services listed here. See our affiliate disclosure and methodology. Prices and features were checked on each provider's official website on October 29, 2026. Channel and VOD counts are the providers' own claims, and plans change, so confirm current terms before you subscribe.

Why UK expats in the Netherlands look at IPTV
The British community in the Netherlands is long established, although fewer people are arriving: Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reports that about 3,000 UK-born people settled in the country in 2024, down from 6,500 in 2019. Many live in mixed Dutch-British homes.
Dutch TV does include some British content, but not in the form most expats want:
- BBC NL, which replaced BBC First on May 15, 2025, is a Dutch pay channel from BBC Studios with drama and entertainment, all subtitled in Dutch. It is not BBC One.
- BBC NL+, launched in July 2025, is a streaming service for KPN TV+ and NLZIET subscribers with on demand BBC series and a live stream of BBC NL.
- BBC iPlayer and ITVX are geo-blocked outside the UK, and live UK news, Saturday-night shows and UK sport are not on these Dutch services.
Satellite is the traditional workaround. The Astra 2E UK spot beam is aimed at the UK and Ireland; sources give 45 cm as the nominal dish for the UK, Ireland and Benelux, but others say 60 cm or more is needed across most of the Netherlands, and many apartments do not allow a dish at all. That is why IPTV, which works on any smart TV or streaming stick over an internet connection, attracts British expats.
What is IPTV?
IPTV (internet protocol television) delivers live TV, catch-up and on demand films and series over the internet instead of a satellite dish or cable. You install an app on a smart TV, Android TV box, Fire Stick, Apple TV, iPhone or tablet, enter the login details the provider sends, and the channel list and TV guide load. The protocol is neutral: Dutch providers such as KPN also deliver TV this way. Whether a service is legal depends on whether it holds the rights to its channels.
How we chose
- UK channel coverage. The size of the published UK group, because that is what expats are paying for.
- Dutch channels. Useful for Dutch partners, children at Dutch schools and local news.
- Price, trial and refunds. Cost per month, currency, trial length and written refund rules.
- Devices. IPTV apps for Samsung and LG smart TVs, Android TV, Fire Stick, Apple TV, iOS and Android.
- Stability. Picture quality in HD and 4K, and advice for buffering on Dutch broadband.
1. QueenIPTV: best overall for UK expats in the Netherlands
QueenIPTV is built around British viewing. Its channels page lists 1,765 UK channels, the largest UK group of the three, plus 90 Netherlands channels, 7,280 USA channels and dozens of other country groups.
QueenIPTV pricing (1 device, checked October 29, 2026)
| Plan | Billed once | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | £11.99 | £11.99 |
| 3 months | £24.99 | £8.33 |
| 6 months | £34.99 | £5.83 |
| 12 months | £49.99 | £4.17 |
| 24 months | £79.99 | £3.33 |
Plans for up to 5 devices are on the QueenIPTV pricing page.
Key features
- 1,765 UK channels and 90 Dutch channels on the published list (provider claims).
- Live TV, films and series on demand, live sports, and HD and 4K options where available.
- 36-hour free trial, extendable twice by 36 hours each (about 4.5 days), with no payment details.
- Written refund policy: up to 50% depending on usage.
Best for
British and mixed Dutch-British households who want UK channels first and some Dutch channels for the rest of the family. Start with the free trial to check your own channels.
Things to consider
The refund is capped at 50%, not a full money-back guarantee. Prices are in pounds, so a euro card may add a currency fee.
2. KenoaTV: the US-priced alternative
KenoaTV is QueenIPTV's sister service, priced in dollars. Its channel list shows 1,365 UK channels, the same 90 Dutch channels and a larger North American offering, which suits households with American members.

| 6 months | $59.99 | $10.00 |

- The same 36-hour trial, extendable twice, with no card.
Best for
Mixed British-American households in the Netherlands, or anyone who prefers paying in dollars.
Things to consider
Fewer UK channels than QueenIPTV, and dollar pricing means two currency conversions for euro earners.
3. Televo: UK-focused with a money-back guarantee
Televo sells UK-focused IPTV streaming as a prepaid pass with no automatic renewal, with Standard and Premium plans. Its site lists 1-, 3-, 6-, 12- and 24-month plans, from £12.99 for one month to £79.99 for 24 months, with up to 5 connections at checkout.
Televo pricing (checked October 29, 2026)
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 month | £12.99 |
| 3 months | £24.99 |
| 6 months | £34.99 |
| 12 months | £49.99 |
| 24 months | £79.99 |
Key features
- Standard plan: 25,000+ live channels and 140,000+ movies and series in Full HD; Premium: 57,000+ channels and 238,000+ titles in 4K (provider claims). The homepage headline quotes 34,000+ channels and 195,000+ titles.
- 7-day money-back guarantee, no auto-renewal, up to 5 connections.
Best for
Viewers who want a full refund window and no subscription that renews itself.
Things to consider
Televo does not publish a UK or Dutch channel breakdown, and its own pages quote different channel totals. No free trial is listed.
What Dutch IPTV sellers claim (and what to check)
The Dutch search results for IPTV are dominated by local sellers. Their own pages make claims we have not verified, so treat them as marketing: sites such as ELIPTV and IPTVkopen advertise 30,000+ live channels and 150,000+ films and series in SD, HD and 4K, subscriptions from €15.99 a month falling to about €10 a month on a year and €8.75 on 24 months, flexible plans from 1 to 24 months, activation within minutes, a 7-day money-back guarantee and 24/7 support over WhatsApp. Most recommend apps such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters and say 50 Mbps is needed for 4K.
What those pages rarely say is whether they hold broadcast rights. Many commercial IPTV subscriptions in the Netherlands operate in a copyright grey area at best, and quality and reliability vary widely between them. Commercial UK on-demand services remain strictly geo-blocked, while free-to-air BBC and ITV channels on the Astra 2E UK beam need no subscription if your dish can pick them up.

UK TV in the Netherlands, then the rest of Europe
UK first. Most expats want the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 schedule as it airs in Britain. The good news for the Netherlands is the time zone: the country is only one hour ahead of the UK, so the 10pm news is at 11pm in Amsterdam and a 3pm kick-off is at 4pm.
Sport. In the Netherlands, Premier League rights sit with Viaplay under a deal that runs to 2027-28, and Viaplay agreed in July 2026 to sell its Dutch business to DPG Media's Videoland for €142 million. For the full picture, see our best IPTV for the Premier League guide.
Europe. If you split time between the Netherlands and Germany, Belgium or Spain, an IPTV subscription moves with you. Read our guides to IPTV for UK expats in Europe and Germany for UK expats. Dutch readers can compare KenoaTV's best IPTV for the Netherlands guide.
Buying guide
- Check your exact channels on the trial, not the headline total.
- Test during peak hours, such as Saturday 3pm UK time.
- Compare per-month costs and the currency you pay in.
- Read the refund rules before you pay.
- Avoid IPTV sellers who only take orders over WhatsApp or Telegram and publish no prices, refund policy or company details. A WhatsApp-only IPTV seller can vanish overnight.
- Prefer providers with published channel lists and written policies.
Setup on smart TV, Android TV and Apple TV
- Start the trial or choose a plan, then wait for the email with your login details.
- Install the recommended IPTV player app on your smart TV, Android TV box, Fire Stick, Apple TV, iPhone or Android phone.
- Sign in and let the channel list and EPG load.
- Add BBC, ITV and your other UK favourites to a favourites list.
- Follow the QueenIPTV installation guides for your device, or our Fire Stick IPTV guide.
Buffering tips for live TV in HD and 4K
- You need a stable internet connection: at least 25 Mbps for HD, and many sellers say 50 Mbps for 4K.
- Connect the smart TV or Android box with Ethernet; Dutch flats often have congested Wi-Fi.
- Restart the app and router before big matches.
- Drop from 4K to Full HD if the picture freezes.
Is IPTV legal in the Netherlands and the UK?
IPTV technology is legal in both countries; licensed services such as KPN TV+ use it every day. Unlicensed services are a different matter. The 2017 EU Court of Justice ruling in Stichting Brein v Wullems, a Dutch case, found that streaming from an obviously unlawful source is not covered by the temporary-copy exception, so watching pirated streams can itself infringe copyright.
In practice, Dutch enforcement targets sellers. The anti-piracy group BREIN says it stopped a record number of illegal IPTV sellers and websites in 2025, and in March 2026 it reported 15 IPTV sites that were quickly taken offline. Dutch consumer programme Kassa reported that individual viewers have not been prosecuted, but that is not a guarantee. A VPN is legal in the Netherlands and the UK, but using one to reach BBC iPlayer from abroad breaks iPlayer's terms.
For UK viewers, a TV Licence (£180, with fines of up to £1,000 for watching live TV without one) covers a UK address, not a home in the Netherlands. Before subscribing to any IPTV service, including the ones here, check that it is licensed for the channels you want. This is not legal advice.
Frequently asked questions
Can you watch ITV in the Netherlands?
Not through ITVX, which is geo-blocked outside the UK. ITV channels can be received from the Astra 2E UK beam with a large enough dish, or through IPTV services that list UK channels; check licensing first.
Can I watch BBC iPlayer in the Netherlands?
BBC iPlayer is only available in the UK. In the Netherlands, BBC content is offered through BBC NL and BBC NL+ on KPN and NLZIET, with Dutch subtitles.
Where can I watch live UK TV in the Netherlands?
Options include satellite reception of the UK beam, IPTV services with a UK channel group such as QueenIPTV, and BBC NL's live stream on BBC NL+ for drama.
Is IPTV legal in the Netherlands?
The technology is legal and used by KPN and others. Unlicensed IPTV is illegal, and the 2017 EU court ruling in a Dutch case found that streaming from unlawful sources can infringe copyright.
Is watching IPTV legal in the UK?
Licensed IPTV is legal. Watching or paying for unlicensed streams risks copyright infringement, and you need a TV Licence to watch live TV in the UK.
Is IPTV Nederland betrouwbaar?
Dat hangt af van de aanbieder. Kies een betrouwbare aanbieder met gepubliceerde prijzen, kanalenlijst en voorwaarden, en test eerst op je eigen apparaten.
Is a VPN still legal in the UK?
Yes. VPNs are legal in the UK and the Netherlands, but using one to bypass a streaming service's geo-blocking usually breaks its terms, and services can block VPN addresses at any time.
Which broadband providers block IPTV?
Providers in both countries block specific pirate sites and servers when courts order it, as BREIN and Premier League cases show. Licensed IPTV services are not blocked.
What is the best IPTV service for UK expats in the Netherlands?
For British channels, QueenIPTV leads on published UK coverage (1,765 channels), price and a no-card trial. KenoaTV suits households that prefer dollars, and Televo suits those who want a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Final verdict
If you are British and living in the Netherlands, the right IPTV service is the one that restores the UK schedule without a satellite dish. QueenIPTV comes first here because it lists more UK channels than the other two, includes 90 Dutch channels for the rest of the family, drops to £3.33 a month on its longest plan and gives you roughly 4.5 days to test without a card. KenoaTV works well if you would rather pay in dollars, and Televo makes sense if a full 7-day refund is your priority. Check licensing and test your own channels before you commit.
